Sunshine Blogger Award

Wow, I get to write another post for another award nomination. My new blogging friends that I've made, Ashley from The Balancing Act I Call Life (and on FB and Instagram known as  Schroeder's Shenanigans in 2nd, and Angie from Lucky Little Learners, both nominated me for the Sunshine Blogger Award. I couldn't be more thrilled. It's so cool!

11 Random Facts About Me:

Ok I have to make these different than the other 11 random facts from the Liebster Award nomination! I don't have that many random facts!!  I'll try. 

1) I could eat Mcdonald's Fish Fillet every day.

2) My favorite color is aqua or teal.

3) Anytime I would ever have an essay or report to write during all my years of all types of schooling, I would write WAY more than the requirement. I do not know how to be succinct. One time there was a paper in college that was supposed to be 4 pages...and mine was 20.. I also included an apology note for the length at the end of it. 
4) I feel guilty that I'm working am not home with my baby.. :(
5) I haven't touched my nice ol' SLR since I got my Iphone a year or so ago. 
6) I still draw like I'm ten. Like..my pictures of people and flowers are the exact same.
7) I need to learn how to plug out of teacher mode. 
8) My biggest pet peeves include crumbs and marks or hair on my kitchen floor.
9) I often get told I look like my older kids' sister....heheh :) 
10) I tutor students after school at my home.
11) My feet grew longer after I had my last baby...weird.

What is your favorite thing about your job?

My kids go there too!

2.  Is coffee your lifeline like it is mine?!?

More than my life line. Basically, don’t talk to me in the morning if you see I haven’t gotten to my coffee yet.

3.  What is your favorite read aloud

to read to your class?

Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible. No Good, Very Bad, Day.

4.  What's your favorite movie?

I can’t really watch movies twice but the ones I could sit through again was Bridesmaids and Horrible Bosses.

5.  Would you rather read a book on a kindle or the hard copy?

Hard copy

6.  What's your favorite thing about your significant other?

Being extra caring

7.  What types of things bring a ray of sunshine into your life?

8.  How many different teaching jobs have you had?

Two....both in private schools. The first two years in second grade at one school, and the last 5 years in second grade at my current place.

9.  MAC or PC?

MY PC basically broke because of my baby over the summer. I lost all my info, all the projects I was working on for school, everything! To cheer myself up, I indulged in a MAC with my teacher’s discount..and I’ll never look back! I love it so much. So I guess it was a blessing in disguise that my little girl threw an electronic toy and it just happened to hit where the hard drive was and break it internally. 

10.  What is your favorite TV series?

Currently, The Walking Dead.

11.  If you could head to a deserted island for a week, what THREE things would you take?!?

My cellphone (there better be wifi on this deserted island), Keurig, and a book in case there is no wifi.

What is your favorite quote?

“Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again but expecting different results.”

2.  What grade do you teach and how many students do you have in your class?

2^nd and 27

3.  Where is your favorite vacation destination?

I went to Las Vegas once with my husband and want to go back. There is too much to do in just a few short days.

4.  What kinds of things bring you happiness?

My kids and husband, and being near my parents. I also love the feeling of accomplishment.

5.  What has been your biggest accomplishment?

Professionally, getting my Master’s degree with two kids and working full time.

6.  What is your favorite drink of choice?

C..c..c..COFFEEEEEEEE…wait, and also soda.

7.  What are your summer plans?

I am dreaming of going to the TPT Vegas conference, but it will probably be a no go. So then, maybe just hang out and clean out my DVR.

8.  What is your biggest fear?

Losing my parents or my kids. I can’t even think about it.

9.  What subject do you enjoy teaching the most?

I think I’d say math but I don’t really have a favorite to teach. Kind of all equal.

10.  Do you have a theme in your classroom?

Nope, just pretty was my goal.

11.  MAC or PC?

Went to a MAC cuz PC died and wouldn’t turn back.
